Balcony Renovation

The theme for this house front renovation was Update but Reflect the Past. The municipality requires that old heritage buildings, such as this one, need to retain the facade as close to original as possible. The scope of work included repairing the front three balconies, replacing wood boards with composite boarding, installing new facia and soffits, repainting all wrought iron railings and stairs.

The upper balconies presented challenges as they were weak from age and had to be reinforced before reconstruction.

Overall, the property got an upgraded look while retaining its heritage style.
